5 things Scotch whisky beginners should know 🥃 Swipe ➡️
🌾 Scotch whisky is made from just three ingredients: barley, water and yeast.
🕰️ To be called Scotch whisky, it must be matured in oak casks for a minimum of three years.
🏴 The maturation process must also take place in Scotland for it to be legally recognised as Scotch whisky.
🥃 There are five recognised Scottish whisky-producing regions: the Lowlands, the Highlands, Speyside, Campbeltown and Islay. Here’s a snapshot of the Glenfinnan Viaduct in the Highlands 🚂
